A blackjack calculator for GTA Online

This free calculator tells you the basic strategy move for any hand you are dealt at the Diamond Casino blackjack tables in GTA Online: hit, stand, double or split. Choose the dealer's face-up card, add your own cards, and the best move is highlighted straight away.

It uses the same strategy as the main Blackjack Calculator, with the rules preset to match what players report for GTA Online. Keep it open on your phone or a second screen while you play.

It is a fan-made tool for the game's virtual blackjack. It does not connect to GTA Online and you cannot place bets here.

GTA Online blackjack rules this calculator assumes

These rules come from community guides, not from Rockstar, and the guides do not always agree. The in-game rules panel is the final word. If something differs, change it in the Rules tab.

RuleStatusWhat the calculator uses
Decks and shufflingGuides say four decks; a play-through video says a continuous shufflerTreated as a standard multi-deck shoe. A continuous shuffler behaves like an endless supply of cards, and the strategy chart is the same either way, so card counting is not possible.
Natural blackjackTable layout shows 3 to 2; one source says 2 to 1Pays 3 to 2 (printed on the in-game table). It does not affect the hit, stand, double or split advice.
Dealer blackjackSeen in playThe dealer checks for blackjack immediately, which matches the calculator.
InsuranceSeen in playNot offered; the dealer just checks straight away. The calculator never recommends it.
Double downSeen in play (one card only); double after split reportedOne extra card only. Double after split is reported by guides and switched on.
Dealer on 17Seen in playThe dealer stands on all 17s, including soft 17 (preset). Switch to Hits in the Rules tab only if you see otherwise.
SplittingPairs and resplits seen in play; split aces unconfirmedA play-through video shows a pair split, then split again, then blocked at a third split, so resplitting is limited. The calculator allows unlimited resplits, which makes almost no difference to the advice. Split-ace rules are unconfirmed.
SurrenderAssumed, not mentioned by any guideOff. Turn it on in the Rules tab if the game offers it.
Card limitTwo sources say five cards; one says sevenThe GTA wiki and one guide say five cards without busting forces you to stand; another guide describes a seven-card win. The calculator does not model either. The game stands for you at five cards. See below.

These rules come from community guides, not from Rockstar. "Reported" means the guides agree, and where they disagree or say nothing the table says so. The "Seen in play" rows come from one player's recorded session, not from Rockstar. Please check the in-game rules screen and tell me if anything differs.

Does the card limit change the advice? I solved the hit or stand decision exactly for both versions. With the more widely reported forced stand after five cards, the best move for every hand with fewer than four cards is unchanged, and four-card hands change by at most 0.08 of a bet. With an automatic win at seven cards, only hands of five or six cards change (for example, hitting a six-card hard 13 against a 2). Those are very rare, so the standard chart is used for all hands.

How to use the GTA blackjack calculator

  1. Check the rules. Open the Rules tab. The presets match GTA Online as reported, and your changes on this page are saved separately from the main calculator.
  2. Pick the dealer's card. Tap the dealer's face-up card on the keypad. In GTA Online the dealer shows one card.
  3. Add your cards. Tap each card in your hand. Jack, queen and king all count as 10.
  4. Read the best move. The banner and the highlighted button show what to do. If a second choice is shown, such as "Double (else Hit)", use the first move when the game lets you and the second when it does not.
  5. Start the next hand. Press "New hand" to clear the table.

Keyboard shortcuts on a computer: A, 2–9, 0 or T for ten, J, Q, K, Backspace to undo and N for a new hand.

GTA blackjack strategy basics

  • Double 11 against a dealer 2 to 10, and 10 against a dealer 2 to 9.
  • Stand on 12 to 16 against a dealer 2 to 6 (hit 12 against a 2 or 3). Hit them against a 7 or higher.
  • Insurance is reported as not offered. If you do see it, decline it.

GTA Online blackjack calculator FAQ

Is there a blackjack calculator for GTA Online?

Yes. This page is a free blackjack calculator you can use while you play at the Diamond Casino in GTA Online. Choose the dealer's face-up card and your cards and it shows the best basic strategy move: hit, stand, double or split.

Which rules does GTA Online blackjack use?

The game is described by players as standard blackjack with four decks, where the dealer stands on 17, a natural blackjack pays 3 to 2, and you can double down and split pairs. These details come from community guides, not from Rockstar, and some guides disagree. Check the in-game rules panel and use the Rules tab on this page to match anything that differs.

Does basic strategy work in GTA Online blackjack?

Basic strategy is the best way to play any blackjack game that follows standard rules, and GTA Online's blackjack is based on the real game. It gives the lowest house edge, but it can't guarantee a win. Results over a few hands are mostly luck.

Should I split 10s in GTA Online blackjack?

No. Never split 10s, jacks, queens or kings. A hand of 20 is too strong to break up. Always split aces and 8s.

Does surrender exist in GTA Online blackjack?

None of the community guides I could find mention surrender, so it is an assumption and switched off on this page. If you find it offered in the game, turn it on in the Rules tab.

Should I take insurance in GTA Online blackjack?

Community guides report that insurance is not offered in GTA Online blackjack, so this calculator never recommends it. If it is ever offered, basic strategy says to decline it.

Can I use the calculator on my phone while I play?

Yes. The page works on phones, tablets and computers, so you can keep it open on a second screen next to the game.

Is this affiliated with Rockstar Games?

No. This is an independent fan-made tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Grand Theft Auto and GTA are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.
